Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how My School Partner (“myschoolpartner,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use myschoolpartner.app and related services (the “Service”). myschoolpartner helps school fundraising organizations and the local businesses that sponsor them track and confirm the deliverables of a sponsorship.

Information we collect

  • Account & profile information. When you create an account we collect your organization name, your name, email address, role, and account type (school organization or business), plus profile details you add (e.g. school/org type or business industry, website, address, logo).
  • Content you provide. Information you enter to run the Service — sponsorships, tiers, prospects, deliverables, notes, events — and proof of fulfillment you upload (images or PDFs) or link to.
  • Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). They handle your card details; we do not store full payment card numbers. We retain limited billing metadata such as plan, status, and a provider customer/ subscription identifier.
  • Usage & device data.Basic log and device information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and operate the Service. We also use Google Analytics to measure traffic, which you can opt out of at any time (see “Cookies & analytics” below).

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and operate the Service. These are always on because the Service will not work without them.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (for example, which pages are popular). Analytics runs by default, but you can opt out at any time— use “Opt out” on our cookie notice, or the “Cookie preferences”link in the footer. When you opt out, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. Google Analytics may process data such as a randomized identifier, pages viewed, and general location; see Google’s privacy documentation for details.

Also only with your consent, we use Sentry for error monitoring, which may include a session replay— a masked reconstruction of the pages and interactions leading up to an error, used solely to diagnose and fix problems. Text and form inputs are masked by default. If you decline, no session replay is recorded. You can change this anytime via “Cookie preferences.”

How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Send transactional emails — invitations, deliverable and dispute notifications, reminders, and receipts.
  • Process subscriptions and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

A sponsorship is a shared record. The school and the business that are parties to a given sponsorship can see that sponsorship's deliverables, proof, disputes, and related details. You do not see another organization's unrelated relationships.

We also share information with service providers who process data on our behalf, including:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage)
  • Vercel (application hosting)
  • Stripe (subscription billing)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Sentry (error monitoring & diagnostics — only with your consent)

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see Contact).

Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including database row-level security to isolate each organization's data, signed URLs for stored proof files, and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account information in the app, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us to exercise them.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults administering school sponsorships (for example, PTO/PTA volunteers and business owners). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
